WhatsApp marketing in Bangladesh: a better lead follow-up flow
WhatsApp can support a useful customer journey when people choose to hear from your business and each message has a clear purpose. A thoughtful workflow connects the enquiry, the right team member and the next helpful step.

01Start with permission and context
Invite people to choose WhatsApp follow-up through a clear enquiry or opt-in flow. Explain what kind of response they can expect, keep only the information needed to respond, and make it easy for a person to request no further messages. Avoid treating every phone number as permission for a campaign.
02Route each enquiry to an owner
Capture the customer's stated interest and enquiry source, then assign the conversation to the right person or team. A CRM can keep the service requested, current stage and next action together so staff do not need to reconstruct the history from several inboxes.
03Automate the handoff, keep people in control
A practical flow might acknowledge a new enquiry, notify its owner and create a follow-up reminder if no one has replied. Let staff take over when a question needs judgment, a quote or a personal conversation. Stop automated follow-up when the person replies, declines or opts out.
04Measure useful outcomes
Track whether enquiries receive a timely response, whether they become qualified conversations, and whether follow-up leads to a consultation or sale. Also review unanswered messages and opt-outs. These signals help improve the offer and process; message volume alone does not show business value.
